Day 1: Friday June 19 – Flight Departs

Depart IAD for your Balinese Adventure.


The airfare for this tour has been changed from Cathay Pacific to Emirates Airlines.

Day 2: Saturday June 20- Arrive in Bali

After a 1 hr layover in Dubai, arrive in Bali tonight. You’ll meet your guide and then be transferred to your deluxe hotel in Ubud. 


Ubud is a town on the Indonesian island of Bali. It is located amongst lush rice terraces, and has become the heart of Bali for traditional crafts, art, and dance. 

Day 3: Sunday June 21- Half Day Tour in and around Ubud

You’ll be picked up from your hotel this morning in vintage Volkswagens. One VW after the next will caravan until you reach the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, an iconic view of Bali, where you’ll have some time here to photograph and explore. 


Next, continue to a coffee plantation where you’ll learn about the coffee making and roasting process. You’ll have the opportunity to sample a variety of coffees and teas and you may try Balinese snacks including organic chocolate. You’ll learn about the famous Luwak coffee, the most expensive coffee in the world!


Your last stop of the day is at the Ubud Monkey Forest. Here the monkeys roam freely inside a park, and have no fear of humans and will jump on your shoulder! You’ll enjoy more great photo opportunities here and observe the characteristics of each individual monkey. 


You’ll return to your hotel for the rest of your afternoon on an independent basis. Enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant in walking distance of your hotel!

Day 4: Monday June 22 – Free Day in Ubud / Optional Tours

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Ubud. Or you may participate in the optional tour below!  

 

Optional Full Day Tour: East Bali: $49/pp 


Venture to the north east part of Bali to see the Temple of Heaven, or the Temple of Lempunyang Luhur. While you are enjoying this spectacular view, you will see Mount Agung, the tallest volcano in Bali, in the backdrop. Continue on to Taman Tirta Gangaa, or the Water Palace, whose pools and ornamental ponds bring you to the old days of Bali. The final stop is Tenganan, an original Balinese village and a stronghold of ancient traditions. 


Day 5: Tuesday June 23 - Ubud/Seminyak

Today you’ll enjoy a final few hours in Ubud. Start with a visit to Ubud Palace and see traditional Balinese houses. The Palace is set in the center of Ubud. Visit the Ubud Market for some shopping. Ubud is an artist’s community and you will find lots of local artists and opportunities to purchase clothing and local fashion. 


Then drive south to see the spectacular Tanah Lot Temple. Set 300 meters off the coast, this Hindu temple and iconic pilgrimage site is built on a dramatic rock formation in the sea. After admiring the temple, proceed to Seminyak where you’ll check in to your waterfront resort. 


Day 6: Wednesday June 24- Seminyak, Bali

Enjoy a full day at leisure in South Bali. Your hotel is located on the beach in Seminyak. 


Optional Tour: Late Afternoon/Sunset Tour to Uluwatu 


Temple: $40/pp  Enjoy a sunset tour to the southernmost tip of Bali island to see Uluwatu temple, a temple perched high on a cliff dropping straight into the Indian Ocean. Weather permitting, enjoy a beautiful sunset and take in the mystic atmosphere. While you are here, there is a possibility to view the Kecak dance, or “monkey dance,” depending on the performers’ schedule. 

Day 7: Thursday June 25- Seminyak, Bali

Enjoy a full day at leisure in South Bali. Your hotel is located on the beach in Seminyak. You may wish to check out Potato Head, a renowned beach club with live music, 4 restaurants & 4 bars, and is only steps away from your hotel!

Day 8: Friday June 26- Seminyak, Bali

Enjoy a full day at leisure in South Bali. Your hotel is located on the beach in Seminyak. 

 

Optional Tour: 


1 ½ hour massage: $80  Enjoy a 90 minute massage at a spa specializing in  reflexology and acupressure. Tea will be served. 

Day 9: Saturday June 27- Seminyak/Candidasa, Bali

Depart from your hotel to Candidasa. Stop at Kerta Gosa and then Kusamba, a fishing and salt making village. Afterwards continue to Goa Lawah, the Bat Cave. The cave is considered holy and the entrance is surrounded by shrines to protect the cave from evil. As you walk through the cave you will see the walls vibrate with the thousands of bats, which have set up home here. Lunch will be included today at a local restaurant. After lunch, arrive at your hotel in Candidasa and enjoy the balance of the day and night at leisure!

Day 10: Sunday June 28- Eastern Bali

Start the day with a morning walk through the rice fields to the village of Tenganan, whose inhabitants produce traditional methods of Ikat and basketry. Next visit Taman Tirta Gangga (Water Palace) to see its beautiful swimming pools and ornamental ponds. Lunch will be included again today at an atmospheric local restaurant. After, visit Taman Unjug Water Palace before returning to your hotel for a late afternoon & evening at leisure.

Day 11: Monday June 29 - Free Day/Evening Departure

Today you will enjoy a free day at leisure. You do not have to check out of your rooms until late this afternoon – a late check out has been arranged ahead of time.


Enjoy some free time before transferring to the airport at approximately 3:30 PM. Your flight departs at 7:50 PM. You will have a 1.5 hour layover in Dubai late tonight.

Day 12: Tuesday June 30- Half Free Day/Depart Hong Kong/Return IAD

After your final breakfast in Asia, enjoy a morning and early afternoon at your own leisure. Perhaps you’d like to visit the Stanley Market, or take a ferry to Macau. Depart Hong Kong late (scheduled for 5:50 pm). Your nonstop flight is scheduled to return to IAD on the same day at 9:45 PM local time. Your exciting adventure to Asia has come to an end!

    Pricing is per person based on double occupancy and includes a check discount. Use of credit card will increase the total cost of your tour by $100 per person.

    Payments must be made on time in order to preserve your spot on the tour. Travelers who fail to make timely payments risk cancellation.

    You must pay for optional tours with or before final payment. Please add on any optional tours that you want to do when you book the tour - you can cancel/remove optional tours when you are submitting final payment if you have changed your mind. Therefore, it’s better to add any optional tours you are thinking of doing at the time of sign up, and later inform of us if you would like to cancel any of them before you submit final payment. Some optional tours may be cancelled if there is low interest. If any are cancelled due to low interest you will receive a refund.


    No last minute registrations for optional tours will be permitted – no exceptions. April 1 is the latest

    The penalties for cancelling are shown below. All other payments are refundable.

    • 89-60 days before departure: $2,000
    • 59-45 days before departure: $2,500
    • 44-30 days before departure: $3,000
    • 29 days or fewer before departure: No refund.

    Unfortunately there is no premium economy option available ahead of time. At about 1 month prior to departure, you will be able to go online and select seat assignments. At this time you may be presented with an option to purchase extra legroom seats at an additional cost.

  • Weather & Packaging

    June is an ideal time to visit Bali. Weather in Bali ranges from 72* low at night to 88* high during

    day. Average daytime temperature is 80*. July & August are the two peak months for tourism in Bali,

    so June is desirable because crowds are slightly less during but the weather is still ideal. Please

    note that some sights in Bali require slightly more conservative attire.

  • Passport & Health Details

    You must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months after the return date of your trip. Visas are not required for Bali since the duration of your visit is less than 30 days.


    There are no required immunizations for the destinations you will be visiting. Please speak with your physician if he/she recommends any other medications you should take for this trip.

    Breakfast is included every day at your hotel. There will be an included welcome dinner on your first night in Bali. All other meals are at the traveler’s own expense. You can eat very inexpensive yet delicious meals in Bali !
